Abstract


The article presents an overview of scholarship and a discussion on the problem whether the Torah as literature consist of one work or as a block of five books. The article argues that the Torah should be viewed as a triptych with Genesis as the introduction, Exodus - Leviticus - Numbers as Central Panel and Deuteronomy as close.
